Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Bighorn Mining Ltd. | Hinton, Alberta

Bighorn Mining Ltd. is a coal mining operation located near Hinton, Alberta. We are seeking a motivated, organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The successful candidate will bring strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

● Receive, inspect, count, and record incoming materials.

● Organize and put away received inventory.

● Prepare, package, and document outgoing freight.

● Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.

● Organize and maintain outdoor yard inventory.

● Complete data entry using Microsoft Excel and other systems.

● Assist with material deliveries as required.

● Operate a forklift and safely tow and back up trailers.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

● Follow all company policies and site safety procedures.

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent.

● Two or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or a similar role is an asset.

● Knowledge of inventory-control principles and practices is preferred.

● Strong counting, data-entry, and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

● SAP experience is an asset.

● Valid forklift certification and experience towing and backing up trailers.

● Valid driver's license.

● Additional education or certification in logistics or supply-chain management is an asset.

● Physically capable of performing the manual labour associated with the role.

● Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and dependable, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
