Full job description

Overview:

- Do not call store. Will not consider any handed in resume in person.

- This position should be handling machine cleaning including a fryer and other machines and prep work.

- We are looking for someone who pays attention to details.

- Do not call to or visit the store. We don't hire if you call because this will interrupting our business flow. Also the manager doesn't stay at the store and staff does not know about hiring.

- Do not apply if you don't have a barista experience and food handler certificate.

- Provide reference from previous manager.

- This position will have minimum 4hr per weekly.

- Flexible time and wide open availability will be preferred!

Join our team as a Cafe Assistant and be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment in the food industry. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and enjoy working in a cafe setting.

Duties:

Clean machines such as fryer, soft serve etc
Prep food (drinks and churros). You will have to knead the dough.
Creating excellent hand crafted espresso based coffees using our manual espresso machine.
Creating memorable experiences for our guests by making the right menu item recommendations and describing our fresh baked goods with confidence
Always making sure our Café is clean and well maintained
Cash handling and operation of third party delivery applications
Focusing on the details and making sure we are always doing our best for our guests
Ensuring Food Service standards are met by maintain a hygienic and clean work station
Responsible for preparing and restocking station prior to and at the end of each shift
Preparing for service each day, ensuring all preparations are done in advance to avoid delays in service
Cleaning the barista area and re-stocking all items. Disposing of garbage, cleaning utensils, coffee pots, blenders, and cleaning all surfaces, etc.
Responsible for taking care of leftover food/drinks, whether that means disposing of it, returning unused items to the correct inventory location, or storing it for use later.
Unload delivery trucks and store inventory correctly.
In the event of an absence, filling in, by being a productive team member if needed
Working as a team player with fellow staff members to ensure all food items are delivered at the appropriate time and temperature
Adhering to grooming, appearance and uniform standards consistently.
Staying updated on current menu changes and monthly features etc.
Ability to follow instructions and ensure correct measurements are taken when making drinks
Following clear and concise instructions.
Clean all equipment after use or daily

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience is an asset
Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Must be a team player
Positive interpersonal skills
Must be able to list up to 40 lbs
Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key.
Must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity
Must be able to communicate with managers, staff and customers
Must be able to work the business hours
