Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, effective loss prevention strategies, and prompt response to incidents. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help foster a secure atmosphere for everyone on-site. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of a vibrant organization while developing your skills in law enforcement and surveillance.

Responsibilities

Monitor security cameras (CCTV) continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to deter theft and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and vendors before granting access to the facility.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
Implement loss prevention measures by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting any suspicious behavior.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Enforce company policies related to security procedures and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Experience

Prior experience in law enforcement, security services, or related fields is highly desirable.
Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring techniques.
Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques to minimize theft or damage.
Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly.
Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
Ability to remain calm under pressure while responding promptly to emergencies.
