Currently, we seek motivated and mechanically inclined individuals for our manufacturing locations.
SHIFT: AFTERNOONS - Monday to Thursday 5:00pm to 3:30am
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate laser cutting machines to cut, shape, or engrave materials according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and measurements to ensure accurate production.
- Load and unload materials safely onto the laser machine before and after processing.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and defects, and report any issues.
- Perform basic machine setup, cleaning, and routine maintenance to keep equipment running properly.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and quality standards during production.
- Any other related duties.
Requirement:
- Minimum 2-3 years of CNC laser cutting experience required
- Minimum 2-3 years of forklift experience and a valid forklift license required
- Perform required functions without sacrificing production standards, quality or safety.
- Experience using various hand tools such as grinders and palm sanders.
- Knowledge on use of the different precision measuring tools (micrometer, vernier)
- Working knowledge of OHSA and WHMIS.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and execute results to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Ability to deal with conflict, stress and time constraints in an efficient, professional, courteous manner.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Physical Demands:
Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking, bending, climbing / descending / as well as some physical lifting.
Regularly lifts up to forty (40) lbs. comfortable and safely.
Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change and lubricants and vibration.
Wears all PPE as required.
