Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced PLC Programmer proficient in and energized by creating industrial automation solutions.
Experience troubleshooting, integrating, prototyping and commissioning custom automation systems is a must. Experience with Siemens, Core Morgan, and/or Allen Bradley PLC Systems is required.
Close collaboration with electrical and mechanical designers is required through the concept, design, subsystem control, system integration and commissioning phases of this project. Some of this work must be completed on-site at the final installation.
This is “hands on” work, the end product is a completed and tested industrial control system.
This is a contract position expected to run 5 to 6 months, commencing in September 2026.
This position will require on-site presence in the lower mainland (greater Vancouver).
Responsibilities
- Understand the business domain and objectives of the end application.
- Understand and provide feedback into the electrical and mechanical design.
- Develop PLC code to exercise and prove out subsystem functionality.
- Develop PLC code to implement the complete workflow.
- Participate in system integration, test and troubleshooting.
- Refine implementation to align with evolving hardware and electrical specifications.
- Assist in machine assembly.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of PLC programming experience.
- Experience with common PLC systems such as Siemens, Core Morgan, and/or Allen Bradley.
- “Whole System” level of thinking and approaching design.
- Demonstrated passion for understanding the end application, the business and operational domains.
- “The knack” for implementing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Compensation
This is a contract position, the compensation is commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate.
Pay: $75.00-$100.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lower Mainland, BC
