Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings, ensuring safety, precision, and adherence to project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and construction techniques, with the ability to operate various tools and heavy equipment. The Framer will play a vital part in delivering high-quality structures efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine framing requirements.
- Construct wood or concrete forms for foundations, walls, and other structural elements using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques.
- Erect wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes as needed for material handling.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks and assist with restoration or siding projects when required.
- Ensure all framing work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or concrete forming is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and woodworking techniques.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing, siding installation, restoration work, and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness on job sites.
- Valid <PERSON> certification or relevant licensing preferred but not required.
