Overview

We are actively seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to join our dynamic team in Alberta. This role offers an exciting opportunity for qualified professionals to contribute to high-quality diagnostic imaging services while relocating to a vibrant and growing healthcare community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform echocardiograms (ultrasound imaging of the heart) with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Operate advanced ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to interpret results accurately and facilitate timely diagnosis.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical findings in compliance with privacy regulations.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned according to institutional standards.
Stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques through ongoing education and training.

Experience

Proven experience as an Echo Technologist or similar role within a medical imaging setting.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to cardiology diagnostics.
Demonstrated ability to operate ultrasound equipment effectively while maintaining patient safety.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
Certification or licensure as required by provincial health authorities or relevant regulatory bodies.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment is preferred but not mandatory.
