Full job description

Hearty Catering is cafe and catering company with a focus on healthy, sustainably sourced food.
We run a cafe at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine at Leslie and Sheppard East.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a long-term all-arounder for daytime hours, including lunch.
This is a stable, permanent position for a person who wants to grow and thrive in hospitality within a professional company. Extended health care is available after 6 months.
25-35 hours a week at the cafe. Monday - Friday. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Length of shift 5-7 hours.
Additional hours available at catering sites.
Start date is ASAP.

This position includes:

Operating a POS.
Safely serving food.
Interacting with our customers.
Assisting with food prep, handling food.
Basic food fundamentals knowledge.
Opening-closing and cleaning duties.

Successful applicants will have/be:

Weekday availability.
Customer service oriented; able to communicate confidently and appropriately.
Experience with food prep, cooking, and baking.
Food Handler Certified (or willing to get certified).
A thoughtful, systematic approach to work.
Knowledgeable or interested in gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food preparation.
