The Career Foundation is currently seeking a full-time, Sanitation Facilities Coordinator on behalf of one of our employer partners who are world leaders in food production.

- Salary: $55 000 annually plus eligibility for 10% bonus

Summary of the position:
The Sanitation Facilities Coordinator supports sanitation programs across multiple facilities by ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory, and BRC standards. Working closely with Site Sanitation Leaders and Program Leaders, this role is responsible for maintaining documentation, supporting audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring sanitation processes are standardized and effective across all locations.
Your Background:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation processes (wet/dry cleaning) and sanitary design is an asset
- Familiarity with GMP, food safety standards, BRC requirements, and health & safety regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and sites
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) is an asset
- Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and business needs
- Willingness to travel between facilities, including U.S. locations
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain sanitation documentation including SSOPs and Master Sanitation Cleaning Schedules (MSCS)
- Support commissioning documentation for new equipment and processes across facilities
- Assist Site Sanitation Leaders with internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Participate in self-inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory and food safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices across sites
- Support corrective actions (CARs) and develop training tools such as One Point Lessons (OPLs)
- Track and update action items and sanitation-related initiatives across facilities
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for sanitation leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program consistency and effectiveness
- Support sanitation program execution across multiple locations as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by sanitation leadership
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, BRC standards, food safety, and health & safety regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance activities
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies is an asset
- LOTO and WHMIS training is an asset
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Flexible to work various shifts and occasional weekends as required
- Willingness and ability to travel between facilities, including internationally
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively
