VOTRE RÔLE AU SEIN DE CDS :

Le titulaire du poste participe à la conception et à la modélisation 3D d’équipements industriels, incluant des projets de R&D. Il réalise les calculs techniques requis, sélectionne et dimensionne les composantes mécaniques, maintient la documentation d’ingénierie (dessins CAO, nomenclatures, méthodes d’assemblage) et veille au respect des échéanciers de livraison des dessins. Il contribue également aux revues de conception et au soutien à la fabrication. Dans le cadre des activités de soumissions, il peut être appelé à participer à l’élaboration de devis, à évaluer les coûts et délais de livraison et à rencontrer des clients au besoin.

TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS

· Effectuer la modélisation 3D d’équipement industriel;

· Effectuer la modélisation 3D d'équipement industriel de projet R&D;

· Exécuter divers calculs selon les besoins (résistance du matériau, puissance de moteur, etc.);

· Sélectionner et dimensionner les composants mécaniques clés;

· Maintenir la liste des matériaux (BOM) requis pour fabriquer la machinerie;

· Livrer les dessins à temps selon les échéanciers;

· Connaître les méthodes courantes de soudage, tournage, de fraisage etc.;

· Participer aux revues de conception;

· Maintenir les dessins 3D CAO et 2D à jour ;

· Créer des gabarits, des montages et des documents de méthodes d'assemblage;

· Archiver tous les documents d’ingénierie pour chaque projet;

· Toutes autres tâches connexes.

Soumissions et ventes

· Voyager pour aller voir les clients ;

· Participer aux devis des projets spéciaux;

· Évaluer les coûts et les délais de livraisons des soumissions.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

· Posséder un Baccalauréat en génie mécanique

· 5 à 7 ans d’expérience en conception de machinerie

· Être membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

· Être parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais), autant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit ;

· Maîtriser les logiciels de CAO (SolidEdge et/ou SolidWork) est préférable ;

· Connaissances en automatisation et des méthodes courantes de soudage, tournage, de fraisage ;

· Minutieux, souci du détail et Esprit innovateur ;

· Capacités de leadership, travail d’équipe et bon communicateur.

YOUR ROLE AT CDS :

The incumbent participates in the design and 3D modeling of industrial equipment, including research and development (R&D) projects. The role involves performing required technical calculations, selecting and sizing key mechanical components, maintaining engineering documentation (CAD drawings, bills of materials, assembly procedures), and ensuring drawings are delivered according to project timelines. The position also contributes to design reviews and provides support to manufacturing activities. As part of the quoting process, the incumbent may assist in preparing project proposals, evaluating costs and delivery timelines, and meeting with clients when required.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform 3D modeling of industrial equipment;

· Develop 3D models for industrial equipment related to R&D projects;

· Perform various engineering calculations as required (material strength, motor power, etc.);

· Select and size key mechanical components;

· Maintain the bill of materials (BOM) required for equipment manufacturing;

· Deliver drawings in accordance with established project timelines;

· Demonstrate knowledge of common manufacturing processes such as welding, turning, and milling;

· Participate in design reviews;

· Maintain up-to-date 3D CAD and 2D drawings;

· Create jigs, fixtures, and assembly method documentation;

· Archive all engineering documentation for each project;

· Perform other related duties as required.

Quotations and sales

· Travel to customers;

· Participate in quotations for special projects;

· Evaluate quotation costs and delivery times.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;

· 5 to 7 years of experience in machinery design;

· Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

· Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken;

· Proficiency in CAD software (SolidEdge and/or SolidWorks) is preferred;

· Knowledge of automation and common manufacturing processes such as welding, turning, and milling;

· Strong attention to detail, precision, and an innovative mindset.
