Position Description:
The Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University invites applications for a one-year Contractually Limited Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Psychology. The anticipated starting date for this position is August 1, 2026. The teaching commitment for this position will be six undergraduate courses per year, with the possibility of teaching in the spring/summer session. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology with expertise in cognition and science communication, and preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of successful teaching at the university level.
The Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour currently has 31 full-time faculty members and approximately 110 graduate students and 8 postdoctoral fellows. The Department supports approximately 1200 in-program students across more than a dozen undergraduate programs, and teaches many more students from programs across the University.
