Job Summary

Duties

Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence and efficiency.
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Assist in menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before they reach customers, maintaining consistency and presentation.
Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation practices to uphold health regulations.
Serve as a key leader during service hours, stepping in to coordinate activities and resolve any operational issues promptly.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices.
Demonstrated restaurant management skills with a focus on team management and leadership.
Extensive food handling knowledge with an emphasis on safety and sanitation standards.
Previous restaurant experience showcasing versatility across various kitchen stations.
Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team and coordinate with front-of-house staff.
