Production Supervisor Night Shift - Etobicoke, ON

IBP is currently recruiting a Nightshift Production Supervisor for our steel stud plant in Etobicoke, Ontario. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

- Shift: 2:00pm to 11:00pm
- Pay: $35.00-37.00 per hour (based on skill and ability)
- Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs (before/after shift and occasional weekends)
Role Summary
Under the guidance of the Site Manager, the Nightshift Production Supervisor supports the daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are met. They lead, train, and schedule production staff, resolve operational bottlenecks, and maintain equipment efficiency. Key responsibilities include optimizing workflow, reporting on performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires a high level of safety attention, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production schedules, workflows and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
- Preside over team leadership through supervision, training, mentorship, and evaluation of production staff.
- Problem Solving. Ability to identify difficulties, resolve technical issues, and make quick decisions on the production floor.
- Ensure finished products meet company standards and customer specifications by monitoring processes and inspecting finished products.
- Enforce safety regulations, maintain a clean, safe working environment, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Forklift Licence (required)
- Crane Certification (required)
- Demonstrated organizational skills with strong leadership, communication skills (verbal and written) and decision-making skills. Effective employee relations skills within a diverse workforce environment.
- Knowledge of safety compliance programs.
- Leadership aptitude is needed to manage and develop others, as well as have the flexibility to adapt to different situations.
- Must have demonstrated abilities to operate within a planned budget and a proven record of accomplishing tasks on schedule.
- Basic knowledge of predictive maintenance best practices and technologies utilized to monitor conditions of equipment.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Able to creatively problem solve with an emphasis on safety within a process driven work environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, MS Access, and Excel are required.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks typical of manufacturing work.
