Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis. The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible by an underground route, adjacent to the Bell Centre and also by 1000 de la Gauchetière. This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers. If you are looking for a stylish and modern work environment, join the inspiring team of one of the largest hotels in downtown Montreal.

Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls at the establishment. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, visitors, and business partners. You will be an essential member of the team responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth communication within the company. Your professionalism, friendliness, and ability to efficiently handle phone calls will contribute to the positive image of the iconic Marriott Château Champlain.

Responsibilities:

Answer incoming telephone calls with courtesy and professionalism.
Direct calls to the appropriate individuals or departments.
Take accurate messages and relay them to the appropriate recipients.
Provide basic information about the company, its products, or services.
Manage outgoing calls for follow-ups, confirmations, or reminders.
Maintain an accurate record of received and transmitted calls and messages.
Provide quality customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve common issues.
Perform administrative tasks such as mail management, data entry, and record-keeping.
Ensure the proper functioning of telephone equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
Adhere to company procedures and policies regarding confidentiality and information security.

Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Strong customer orientation and the ability to handle issues with tact and diplomacy.
Proficiency in time management and organizational techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with telephone systems and call management software.
Good computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
Discretion and respect for the confidentiality of information.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience as a telephone operator or in a similar role is an advantage.
Proficiency in multiple languages is an additional asset.
