Full job description

Guest Services Manager

The Adventure Hotel is looking for a full time Guest Services Manager to lead our front desk team and oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel front office.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, personable, confident and passionate about hospitality. You’ll lead by example, support your team, and make sure our guests receive excellent service. This is a guest facing, working management position.

Responsibilities

Lead, train and support the front desk team
Create staff schedules and manage day-to-day front desk operations
Oversee check-ins, check-outs, reservations, payments, and cash-outs
Handle guest questions, requests, and complaints
Maintain hotel rate plans and seasonal pricing
Manage hotel occupancy and property management system
Manage front desk inventory and ordering
Ensure the reception area and hotel are clean and presentable
Communicate with other department managers to keep operations running smoothly
Step in where needed and take ownership of the overall guest experience

Qualifications

Previous hotel or hospitality experience
Supervisory or management experience is essential
Cash handling skills
Excellent clerical and typing capability, Microsoft office an asset
Strong communication and organisational skills
Excellent guest service skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
