POSITION PROFILE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician completes all work assigned that is associated with the successful operation of the plant.
You will be responsible for:
· Maintaining preventative maintenance schedule, carrying out emergency maintenance activities as required and resolving daily equipment problems
· Monitoring boiler operations
· Ensuring equipment is running at optimal capacity through operational checks
· Assisting with new installations and machine modifications
· Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
· Adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures both organizationally and legislatively mandated
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Strong technical, mechanical and diagnostic skills
· Possession of 4th Class Power Engineer ticket
· Grade 12 Diploma of High School Equivalency
· 3 – 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment is an asset
· Knowledge/experience in instrumentation and controls is an asset
· Team player who has proven ability to work independently
· Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
· Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Shift: Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm
