Located on the brink of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, the Marriott on the Falls is a 404 guestroom full service hotel, minutes away from area attractions, world-class wineries, golf and casinos. The Marriott on the Falls also offers sumptuous dining options at its on-site Milestones Fallsview Restaurant along with 23 private function rooms and boardrooms totaling over 40,000 square feet of meeting space including our 8400 sq. ft. Oakes Grand Ballroom with an additional 2700 sq. ft. foyer. Whether our guests are traveling on business or taking a much needed vacation, our mission is to always exceed the expectations of our guests.

At Marriott on the Falls, our operations thrive with the commitment of Associates who demonstrate/support the Marriott core values and culture of putting people first, acting with integrity, serving our world, embracing change, and pursuing excellence. We are currently searching for a Houseperson who is positive, enthusiastic, and has a passion for excellence to join our housekeeping team.

This key service position is responsible for:

Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the hotel daily in an efficient and timely manner.
Supporting Room Attendants by restocking supplies such as linens, glasses, and amenities.
Upholding the highest standards for cleanliness of guest-rooms and public areas, including service elevators, laundry, storage rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
Maintaining the floors and performing any assigned projects given by management.
Maintaining the lobby and dining areas.
Assisting Room Attendant by stripping any vacant or dirty rooms when necessary.
Moving furniture and moving garbage and waste.
Responding promptly to all guests requests and informing managers of deficiencies, low supply levels, and missing amenities.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Participates in the daily standup meetings.
Demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours.
All other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

Proven ability to juggle many tasks, simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
An eye for detail and dedication to ‘doing things right the first time’.
Ability to be self-directed and work cooperatively within a team setting with minimum supervision.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., lifting up to 50-lbs, moving 75lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching, ).
Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours.
Secondary School Graduate Diploma
Must be tech savvy (i.e. cellphone)
Must be able to work evening and day shifts including weekends and holidays.
