Media Sales Strategist

We are currently looking for a Media Sales Strategist to join our Halifaxteam and cover the Halifax Regional Municipality! This position reports to the Retail Sales Manager for Q104 and 96.5 The Breeze.

Our ideal candidate has a strong multimedia marketing and sales background, and has demonstrated the ability to manage and grow an active client list, while understanding the importance of a team mentality with a desire to be part of the fabric of the community.

Located in Nova Scotia’s historic capital city, Halifax is the province’s largest urban centre and economic hub among a cross-section of sectors, including government, healthcare, finance, and tourism! Halifax combines a high quality of life with a vibrant waterfront, access to several beautiful beaches, and boasts strong cultural and culinary scenes with a growing and diverse population!

Your day-to-day

Be a local sales leader of Q104 and 96.5 The Breeze, Stingray-owned radio stations. You will have the opportunity to harness the power of these popular stations while also representing all Stingray Radio Stations from Vancouver to St. John’s, unlocking vast sales potential across a nationwide network.
Leverage a diverse range of media solutions including radio, programmatic display, programmatic video, connected TV, digital out-of-home, YouTube, search, social, and our proprietary retail media platform – to help clients grow and succeed.
Own the full sales process from lead generation and prospecting to client needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
Drive revenue growth and achieve revenue targets through consultative sales and development of strategic proposals. Manage and grow your client base while identifying new business opportunities which includes building customized client/station presentations and representing the stations at client and community partner events.
Collaborate with internal teams (promotions, programming, creative, production, digital campaign managers) to deliver impactful, multi-platform advertising campaigns, including assisting with the remote booking process and wrap-up reports for your clients.

Your qualifications

You have 2+ years of in-person, consultative sales or account management experience (experience in multi-media advertising or digital media is a plus).

· Ability to self-manage, proven high-achieving performer in all facets of life with a track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.

· You are comfortable building ground-up ideas and presenting your strategies to business owners and operators.

· You are an excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator with a history of building strong, lasting, business relationships.

· You are well-organized, accountable, and skilled at managing time and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a team-focused mindset.

· You live in or would relocate to Halifax, NS; have a valid driver’s license; access to a vehicle; and valid vehicle insurance.
