At STELIA North America, we are offering the opportunity for a career that is out of this world! We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our Quality Assurace Team in beautiful Lunenburg, NS. An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defense company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.

As a leading aerospace and defense sector supplier, Quality Assurance and Control are vital to all we do. Quality is a formal and strictly managed requirement of our aerospace manufacturing customers. Both quality and transformation drive our continual technical, operational and commercial performance as a business and as such need to be the cultural centerpiece of our organization.

Accountabilities:

Lead all aspects of STELIA North America’s corporate quality requirements and quality activities for all facilities.
Promote a strong culture of quality and improvement focused on deep employee engagement and customer performance focus through rigorous attention to detail and prevention of defects.
Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies,processesand procedures to aid and improve business performance.
Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet businessobjectivesand operational needs in terms of price,qualityand delivery targets.
Ensure that transformationalstrategies and processes are in place to meet businessobjectivesand operational needs in terms of implementation planning,executionand benefits realization.
Represent the business to external stakeholders in both audits and collaborative work on quality activities.
Continually develop both the immediate team and the broader organization toattainoperational excellence aligned with our strategy.
Develop,reviewand verify compliance for proposals, ongoing contracts, and renegotiation of existing business, ensuring contracted quality opportunities are achievable.
Maintain certification and compliance efforts for AS9100, NADCAP and other required certifications.

You have:

Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering / Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
8+ years’ experience leading people or functions.
5+ years’ experiencein AS/EN9100, ISO9001 or NADCAP.
ASQ designation (e.g., Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Auditor, Quality Engineer) or quality systems / operations leadership experienceis anasset.
Experience inleading and implementing improvementand operational excellenceprojects(Lean,Six Sigma,Theory of Constraint, etc.)
Strong understanding of data, analytics, computers and M365
Provenprogressive leadership experience.
High degree of Emotional Intelligence to connect authentically, communicate effectively, and thrive collectivelydailyand lead change in the workplace.
