Job Title: Retail Business Analyst

Job Summary: The Retail Business Analyst will play a key role in enhancing retail partner performance by evaluating data, workflows, and systems to uncover opportunities for growth and optimization. This role acts as a connector between commercial objectives and analytical solutions, helping ensure business strategies are supported by data-driven insights that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer outcomes.

Job Location: Milton, ON

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)

Note – You will be training on-site in the beginning but then moving to a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in the office).

Compensation Structure: $26.00-$28.00per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

· Partner with Account Management teams to support customer strategies, strengthen category performance, and contribute to revenue growth initiatives.

· Analyze point-of-sale data, inventory levels, consumer behavior, and market dynamics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

· Translate business needs into clear analytical requirements by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

· Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.

· Support forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization efforts to improve customer performance and sales outcomes.

· Assist with planning and execution of analytical and process-improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.

· Work closely with finance, category management, marketing, and technology teams to implement data-backed solutions.

· Contribute to strategic planning through competitive analysis, market research, and evaluation of consumer trends.

· Maintain and analyze pricing, promotional, and performance data while ensuring adherence to internal policies and applicable regulations.

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience in retail, consumer goods, or a similar analytical role supporting sales or commercial teams.
Experience in big box retail stores such as Walmart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and convert findings into actionable insights.
Familiarity with retail customers such as large home improvement, mass merchandise, or energy-related retailers is considered an asset.
Proficiency in data visualization, reporting tools, and analytical models used to support decision-making.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Understanding of forecasting, inventory planning, and retail performance metrics.
Detail-oriented, solutions-focused mindset with a strong interest in driving business improvement through data.
