We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist who is responsible for monitoring and supporting the organization's network, server, cloud, and security infrastructure. This role provides end user technical support, helps ensure reliable and secure technology services, and participates in technology projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with the Senior Network Administrator, the successful candidate supports a secure, scalable, and highly available technology environment that enables business operations and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides workplace support for incidents and service requests related to troubleshooting and resolution of technology-based issues.
- Answer calls, evaluate and prioritize email related to IT incidents by understanding the business environment and the needs of all departments.
- Escalates issues, as needed, to the IT System and Network Administrator.
- Performs hardware/software moves, changes, additions and upgrades as directed.
- Provisions and installs new computers, maintain printers and other shared office hardware as instructed.
- Builds our knowledge base of support scenarios by researching, testing, and implementing solutions.
- Document procedures, system configuration, and IT infrastructure as requested.
- Assist with maintaining corporate SharePoint communication sites.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, technology projects, and change management activities.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and improve the reliability, security, and efficiency of Information Technology services.
- Follow organizational Information Technology governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Infrastructure and Networking
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, 3CX VOIP System
- Microsoft Cloud Technologies
- Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Additional Capabilities
Strong troubleshooting, analysis, documentation, customer service, prioritization, teamwork, and continuous learning. Experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset.

Education and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to three years of progressive experience in helpdesk and end user support, network support, or infrastructure support.
- Experience providing escalated technical support in a business environment.
- Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, cybersecurity, or IT service management certifications are considered assets.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical employees.
- Strong customer service, active listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to document technical procedures and communicate system changes clearly.
- French language skills are considered an asset but are not required.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time in the office.
- Participation in after-hours support, scheduled maintenance, and emergency response when required.
- Ability to lift, move, and install computer and networking equipment when necessary.
