Summary

As a Bakery Assistant/Doughnuteer, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for food preparation, baking, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality baked goods. With core skills in food handling and kitchen experience, you will assist in creating delicious treats and maintaining a clean workspace. Your attention to detail and passion for baking will help elevate our bakery's offerings, making you a key player to our success in the food industry.

Responsibilities and Duties

Must be able to follow established recipes
Maintain product displays and to follow rules of FIFO (First in and First out)
Prepare doughs and batters
Decorate/finish pastries and baked goods
Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
Must be able to follow direction
Must be able to understand all concepts of food safety and rotation
Maintain a clean work workplace environment

Qualifications and Requirements

Must have valid Food Safe certificate
High School Graduate
Bakery experience an asset but willing to train the right candidate
Attention to detail
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
Applicant should be comfortable and prepared to work with commercial/industrial mixers, ovens, fryers as well as high output tortilla maker
Occasional work in freezer/cooler
