Full job description

Job Description:Lead Climber,

EXPERIENCE ARBORIST ONLY

Working in the canopy of the trees

At various heights from either a Bucket truck or with a Rope and Harness using correct Tree Climbing Techniques

Contributing to the crew including ground work and running machinery
Perform all aspects of tree pruning and Removals safely, professionally and efficiently,

Also including but not limited to:

Driving company vehicles and machinery
Pruning, Thinning, & Removing
Deadwooding
Removal of Hazardous Trees
Stump Grinding,
Emergency work
Clean up, etc
Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, Bucket truck, etc

Qualifications/ Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
Certifcate in Arborculture, Chainsaw and Climbing, Highly desired
Able to lift a minimum of 50 Ibs repetitively
Experience in Chainsaw and Chipper operation, Essential, but training can be provided
Experience in Emergency Storm Work, Desirable
Valid G2 or G class (car licence) provincial driver's Desirable
Tree & Knot knowledge a must, Essential, but training can be provided
A background in Forestry or Arboriculture, Preferred but not essential

license (DZ an asset)

Ability to work safely as part of a team

and possess the willingness to learn and

progress

Abide by industry and Company safety policies and

procedures. (MTO Book 7, Electrical

Utility Safety Rules, Arborist Safe Work

Practices, etc.)

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour
