We are seeking Project Superintendents to oversee operations for specialty geotechnical construction techniques such as deep foundation and ground-improvement projects. This position is responsible for daily site management, safety leadership, coordination of field crews and subcontractors, equipment utilization, schedule execution, and ensuring high-quality work aligned with project specifications. This role requires significant travel to project sites throughout Canada and North America. Ideal candidates should have experience in one or more of the geotechnical construction techniques listed below:
- Slurry walls
- Deep Soil Mixing (DSM)
- Drilled shafts/caissons
- Piles (Auger cast, displacement, secant/tangent)
- Micropiles
- Sheetpiling
- Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM)
- Diaphragm Walls
Responsibilities of this Position
- Manage day-to-day field operations for deep foundation or ground-improvement projects, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality.
- Lead and supervise field crews, operators, laborers, and specialty technicians.
- Coordinate work sequencing with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and general contractors.
- Conduct daily safety briefings, enforce company safety policies, and maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Monitor and report project progress, equipment performance, materials usage, and field conditions.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to ensure correct installation procedures.
- Oversee specialty equipment mobilization, maintenance, and troubleshooting in coordination with equipment support teams.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, timekeeping, material logs, and safety records.
- Support quality-control procedures, including verification of installation parameters, testing oversight, and record management.
- Participate in pre-construction planning, site logistics, and ongoing coordination meetings.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and site representatives through consistent communication and professional conduct.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of field supervision experience in deep foundations, ground improvement, geotechnical construction, or heavy civil works.
- Strong knowledge of techniques such as soil mixing, slurry trenching, drilled shafts, auger cast piles, micropiles, jet grouting, or other specialty geotechnical construction techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and execute construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical documentation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to direct crews and coordinate complex field operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to lead by example.
- Proficiency with daily reporting tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work extended hours as required by project demands.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

While you are assigned to field projects, you would receive additional reimbursements, which currently include:
- Travel / lodging - Project-related travel expenses fully covered by the company, including air fares and lodging.
- Per-Diem - to cover meals and incidental expenses. Additional per-diem is provided for employees who choose to forgo the company provided lodging for their own accommodations, such as campers.
- Vehicles – When driving to projects, personal vehicle coverage, including mileage and/or flat rate, is provided.
- Mileage reimbursement for business use of personal vehicle at the allowable rate per the IRS
- Weekly Vehicle allowance when assigned to field projects
- Rental vehicles provided at project location when employees fly
- Rotations - One trip home (weekend) for every 3 weeks of field service. In lieu of your trip home you may elect to take a travel voucher

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
