Assistant Manager

COFU is more than a restaurant — it’s a place where artistry, hospitality, and sustainability come together. With three storefronts — COFU Pressed Sushi, COFU Chinatown, and Hush Coffee Store — we’re building a community around food that is thoughtful, creative, and memorable.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager who will serve as the right hand to our manager and leadership team. This is a hands-on role with exposure to all aspects of running and growing a restaurant business. From leading the front-of-house team and supporting HR, to helping with marketing and administration, to stepping in as a server, bartender, or even in the kitchen when needed, you’ll be at the heart of operations.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, values both teamwork and initiative, and wants to grow their career in hospitality and leadership. You’ll also have the freedom to propose ideas, contribute to improvements, and even make decisions at your discretion as you prove yourself in the role.

Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day operations across three storefronts
Assist with team management, scheduling, and HR tasks
Contribute to marketing and promotional activities
Handle administrative work and reporting
Work shifts as a server, bartender, or occasionally in the kitchen
Act as a bridge between staff and management, ensuring smooth communication and workflow
Identify opportunities for improvement and propose or implement solutions

Required or Desired Skills:

Experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant management (preferred but not required)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Adaptability to step into different roles and challenges as needed
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
Interest in growing with the company and building a long-term career in hospitality or business management

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience and skills, plus tips.
Staff discounts available to all employees.

Job Details:

Contract Type: Full-time (30–40 hours a week) / Part-time (Less than 29 hours a week)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible.
