Job Overview

Please note an additional bonus structure will be provided.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate General Manager to lead the operations of our retirement residence. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all departments, ensuring high-quality resident care, managing staff, maintaining compliance with legislative standards, and fostering a warm, respectful environment for residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

Oversee day-to-day operations, including financial, human, and physical resources.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Lead and support staff with recruitment, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
Maintain and ensure high standards in resident care, housekeeping, dietary services, and safety.
Liaise with inspectors, healthcare professionals, and higher management.
Promote risk management, infection control, and emergency preparedness protocols.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Previous experience in a managerial role, ideally within a retirement or long-term care setting, is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of senior care needs and empathy toward residents and families.
Ability to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism.

Requirements:

Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
TB testing and up-to-date immunizations.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) directeur(trice) général(e) expérimenté(e) et compatissant(e) pour diriger les opérations de notre résidence pour retraités. Cette personne sera responsable de superviser tous les départements, d’assurer des soins de haute qualité aux résidents, de gérer le personnel, de maintenir la conformité aux normes législatives et de favoriser un environnement chaleureux et respectueux pour les résidents et les membres de l’équipe.

Responsabilités principales (incluant, sans s’y limiter) :

Superviser les opérations quotidiennes, incluant les ressources financières, humaines et matérielles.
Assurer la conformité avec les lois et règlements applicables.
Diriger et soutenir le personnel au niveau du recrutement, de la formation, des évaluations et des horaires.
Maintenir et assurer des normes élevées en matière de soins aux résidents, d’entretien ménager, de services alimentaires et de sécurité.
Collaborer avec les inspecteurs, les professionnels de la santé et la haute direction.
Promouvoir les protocoles de gestion des risques, de contrôle des infections et de préparation aux situations d’urgence.
Effectuer toute autre responsabilité assignée.

Qualifications :

· Infirmière auxiliaire autorisée (IAA) ou infirmier auxiliaire autorisé (IAA), membre en règle de l'Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers de l'Ontario.
Une expérience antérieure dans un rôle de gestion, idéalement dans un milieu de retraite ou de soins de longue durée, est privilégiée.
Excellentes aptitudes en leadership, communication et relations interpersonnelles.
Bonne connaissance des besoins des aînés et approche empathique envers les résidents et leurs familles.
Capacité à gérer des renseignements confidentiels et à maintenir un haut niveau de professionnalisme.

Exigences :

Vérification du dossier de police avec secteur vulnérable.
Test de dépistage de la tuberculose et vaccins à jour.
