Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with experience in food and beverage preparation. This role involves creating a welcoming environment for customers while ensuring high-quality beverage and food service. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry, including food handling, cashiering, and food safety practices. A positive attitude, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using established recipes and standards.
Operate POS.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and giving change.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling food items or snacks.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

Previous barista experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Experience with POS systems is a plus.
Knowledge of the food industry standards, including food safety and handling procedures.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Food service experience including serving, food preparation, and cashiering is desirable.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee culture and customer service to grow their skills in a dynamic setting while delivering exceptional experiences to our customers.
