About Us:

Cliffside Hearth Bread Company is a family-owned and operated bakery located in Scarborough Ontario. We are a handcraft scratch bakery using only the finest ingredients. Our bread production consists of Sourdough breads, Traditional baguettes and assorted Brioche products. We also make a variety of Tarts, Cookies, Squares, Croissants and Fruit Pies and Savoury items.

We are seeking an Assistant Bread Baker with a positive attitude and strong work ethic who is genuinely passionate about artisanal bread. The right candidate is looking to advance their knowledge in the baking field. This is a great learning opportunity to join our talented and supportive team.

Responsibilities:

Able to follow recipes and production schedules
Process bread doughs through all stages, from fermentation to final baking including; mixing, shaping, molding, proofing, and baking
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and appearance.
Meet production deadlines to ensure packaging and delivery schedules are met.
Keep workstations clean and organized
Follow food safety regulations
Able to lift up to 40 lbs
Work efficiently in a high-volume environment while multitasking
Work early morning hours

Qualifications:

Experience working with sourdough bread is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
Positive attitude and a desire to learn Sourdough bread baking craft
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Strong time management skills
Food Handler’s certification required

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Starting at $19.50 per hour with opportunity for advancement
