Full job description

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through attentive caregiving and personalized care services.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, ensuring comfort and safety
Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and clean environment
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
Assist with transfers, heavy lifting, or mobility aids to ensure safe movement
Support clients with dementia, hospice, or other specialized care requirements

Requirements

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, or hospice care is preferred
Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely
Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
Certification in medication administration or nursing is a plus but not mandatory
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
Valid driver’s license may be preferred for certain roles but is not mandatory for all positions

Qualification

PCW or CCA certificate (preferred) or equivalent experience
Current First Aid & CPR
Vulnerable Sector Check / Criminal Record Check
Reliable transportation (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
