Company Overview

Heavy Equipment Repair is located in Slave Lake Alberta, just a short 2.5-hour drive from Edmonton.
With over 35 years of experience, our progressive shop offers a wide range of services such as valve repair, hydraulic cylinder repair, CNC machining, manual machining, and a wide variety of diversified work
Our scope of work services Heavy Mining /Forestry/ Trucking and Machinery industries.

Journeyperson Manual Machinist:

Journeyperson certificate or minimum 5 years trade experience.
Strong skill set in all aspects of manual machining.
Able to operate Manual Lathes, Milling Machines, Boring Mill, Surface Grinder, Radial arm drill, overhead cranes.
strong blueprint reading skills.
ability to reverse engineer projects as required.
standard machinists tools.

Addition skills that would be an asset:

Strong skill set in CNC machining.
Interpret blueprints and edit CNC Programs as required.
Competent with Fagor, Fanuc, Hass and Gibbs Cam.
Applicant will be required to use overhead cranes.
Inspection of machined components in accordance with customer specification.
Valid Drivers License.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure that safe-working procedures, good housekeeping practices and all company policies are always adhered to.
Prepare and setup machine tools for daily operation.
Determine tooling, toolpaths, setup methods and fixtures to produce parts in most efficient manner.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machines as required.
Be accountable for final product quality.
