Are you passionate about cooking with exceptional local ingredients in one of Canada’s most iconic coastal destinations? Sooke Harbour House is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team as we enter an exciting new chapter.

Located on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Sooke Harbour House has long been known for its commitment to seasonality, sustainability, and unforgettable dining experiences. This is an opportunity to be part of rebuilding and redefining a legendary culinary destination.

About the Role

This position focuses on the execution of hot food service, protein preparation, sauces, daily features, and station leadership within our kitchen operations. You will play a key role in maintaining culinary excellence, consistency, and strong execution during service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes for service
Butcher and portion fish, meat, and seafood to specification
Prepare sauces, reductions, and accompaniments
Support daily features and seasonal menu execution
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workstations
Assist with receiving and storing kitchen deliveries
Support kitchen leadership and team communication during service
Help lead line shutdown and deep cleaning procedures after service
Uphold food safety, sanitation, and quality standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of professional kitchen experience preferred
Experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment
Culinary education or apprenticeship training preferred
Red Seal certification considered an asset
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to perform under pressure during service
Passion for local ingredients and elevated hospitality
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
