Summary:

We are looking for an experience sewer & water excavator operator. Reporting to the Foreman, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment on construction sites.

Job Duties Responsibilities:

Operate equipment safely and as per standard operating procedures
Perform inspections, complete equipment maintenance tasks, and check equipment daily
Keep equipment and vehicles clean and in safe/working order
Load and unload equipment in a safe manner
Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

2+ years’ experience in Excavator operating is required
Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset
Willing to work locally as well as out-of-town, up to 22-day shifts with 6 days off
Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Safety-first attitude
Provide: must have a CSA approved hard hat, high visibility vest, steel-toed safety boots 6-8" tall
