As our service department continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Journeyman Technician who wants more than just a job turning wrenches. Position Overview
The Lead Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining powersports equipment, RVs, trailers, and small engine products while helping drive shop productivity, quality control, technician development, and operational excellence.
For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to assume increased leadership responsibilities, including workflow coordination, technician mentoring, quality assurance, and shop performance management.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, motorcycles, trailers, RVs, generators, and small engine equipment.
- Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, fuel system, suspension, brake, drivetrain, and diagnostic repairs.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and support technicians with difficult repairs.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Perform RV inspections, maintenance, and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, appliance, propane, and structural systems.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and safety requirements.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
- Assist in assigning and prioritizing work within the shop.
- Support service management in improving productivity and efficiency.
- Review completed repairs to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with technician training and development.
- Help maintain a positive, accountable, and professional shop culture.
- Participate in shop planning, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
- Support parts and service teams in identifying repair opportunities and customer recommendations.

Qualifications
- Journeyman certification in Small Engine and/or RV required.
- Red Seal certification required.
- Strong powersports and small engine experience required.
- RV technician experience or certification considered a significant asset.
- Proven diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Previous lead hand, foreman, shop supervisor, or mentoring experience preferred.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence required.
- Own tools preferred.

Pay: $41.00-$49.00 per hour
