Job Title: Senior FinOps Engineer
Location: Vancouver, BC
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior FinOps Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will lead cloud financial management initiatives and support enterprise cloud optimization programs.

Responsibilities

Lead FinOps initiatives across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments.
Support cloud modernization programs involving core banking systems, citizen services platforms, OSS/BSS systems, billing platforms, and telecom infrastructure.
Develop enterprise cloud cost governance frameworks and optimization strategies.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cloud financial planning activities.
Collaborate with finance, engineering, architecture, and executive stakeholders.
Support telecom network operations, 5G services, and enterprise digital platforms.
Establish cloud cost accountability and reporting practices.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Ensure compliance with governance, security, and financial controls.
Promote FinOps best practices and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Experience as a Senior FinOps Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments.
Experience supporting banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, or telecom environments.
Strong expertise in cloud financial management and optimization.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and financial controls.
Experience supporting enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
Strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities.
FinOps certifications preferred.
