Full job description

Our TERRACE branch is currently seeking an Office Administrator / Showroom Sales Consultant. This is your opportunity to launch a fun and rewarding career with numerous avenues for advancement throughout our organization. Join our team and become one of our greatest assets!This dual role involves overseeing various administrative and reception tasks at the branch to ensure the smooth internal operations, such as answering and transferring incoming calls, taking messages, greeting customers, cashiering, and other tasks as required. You will also be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to customers visiting our showroom. You will assist them in selecting products, and making purchase decisions related to kitchen and bath projects. Your role will involve a combination of sales, consultations, and customer service to ensure a positive experience for our customers.

Wage is $21.60 per hour, plus commission. Wages may be scaled with relevant experience and/or education.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide an excellent first impression
Answering and directing incoming phone calls
Cooperate with colleagues to provide exceptional customer service
Assisting with quotes and invoicing
Accurate data entry
General administrative duties
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring the customer takes priority
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster repeat business and referrals
Maximize sales opportunities to achieve store targets
Maintain consistent visual merchandising and housekeeping standards at all times
Present product features, specifications, pricing, and warranty information accurately and persuasively
Ensure adherence to operating and security procedures at all times
Process cash transactions
Keep product knowledge up to date and remain current with trends
Execute opening and closing procedures

Essential:

Completion of Grade 12
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Sales driven and goal-oriented
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills and ability to use point-of-sale system
Previous retail/sales experience
Ability to build relationships with customers
Capacity to multi-task and prioritize with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to solve problems
