Position: Marketing and Communications Assistant (CSJ 2026)
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract, Hybrid
Duration: 8 weeks
Compensation: $17.60 hourly
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Specialist

Position Summary:
Supports marketing and communications and fundraising activities

Responsibilities:

Assists with social media content creation and management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
Coordinates external communications to clients, caregivers, donors and others, including e-newsletters, website content, and annual report.
Inputs data into various databases.
Creates graphic designs in Canva as needed to support program and event marketing, following branding guideline.
Assists with other administrative duties.

Education:

Pursing or Completed education in Marketing.

Skills and Experience:

Previous Accounting experience an asset
Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong organization skills and accurate filing and record keeping
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly action-oriented and results-oriented
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-cultural team

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Please note that international students are not eligible to apply.
Have a Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations.
