We are looking for a CAD enthusiast to join our team as a Kitchen Drafter and Designer.
Overview
This position entails the creation and production of precise plans, drawings, elevations, and floor plans which are relayed to the production teams for manufacturing. We are looking for detail oriented individuals who take pride in creating superior plans and detailed work in a timely manner.
Job Description:
- Review paperwork to for any missing info or errors
- Review paperwork from a feasibility perspective
- Review appliance information, noting size, installation methods and matching to provided design
- Make Time to Learn from Retail Technical Designer & Senior Sales & Business Development Manager.
- Combine all information into production ready package including precise floor plans, elevations, details & any other required documentation
- Complete all work in a timely manner paying close attention to timelines and priority jobs
- Submit & review production package with Designer when complete
- Work very closely with shop staff to ensure accuracy in production based on design provided.
- Seek to continually improve time efficiency & work accuracy
- Data Entry
- Prepare Job Order Forms
- Basic CNC programming
Knowledge And Skills;
- Required education: High school or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years in AutoCAD Detailer
- Minimum 2 years in Mozaik software or similar software
- Minimum 3 years in the kitchen industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Produce preliminary drawings (for quotation and customer review purposes)
- Produce precise plans, elevations and details for shop manufacturing.
- Ability to analyze plans for feasibility
- Knowledge of appliance specifications as well as installation procedures
- Knowledge of product installation
- Knowledge of interior components eg. Richelieu, Hettich, Art for everyday products etc.
- CNC programming knowledge is definitely an asset, owner of which will be a preferred candidate.
