JOB SUMMARY

Kootenay Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Medical Office Administrator (MOA) to join our healthcare team. You will play a key role in supporting our surgeons, patients, and team by delivering outstanding administrative care and creating a welcoming, supportive, and positive experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about healthcare administration, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact!

RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll be an essential part of our team ensuring our clinics run smoothly and efficiently.

Welcome patients warmly at the front desk ensuring a positive, organized, and efficient clinic environment
Answer multi-line phone system and schedule appointments efficiently
Maintain referral and surgical waitlists
Maintain accurate patient records and manage confidential information
Support patients in navigating next steps of their healthcare
Maintain organized office operations by managing supplies and maintaining office and equipment maintenance
Adapt to changing priorities and resolve issues with confidence and professionalism

REQUIREMENTS

1 to 2 years of demonstrated administrative experience in an office or healthcare setting
Medical transcription and/or medical billing experience is an asset
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) experience is an asset
Strong team player
Excellent problem-solving and organization skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office setting
Proficiency in handling multi-line phone system and managing office communications professionally
