Job Opportunity: Full-Time NIGHT Shift Nurse (RN, RPN, LPN) – West Kootenays, BC

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Status: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Shift: Night Shift (Full-time)

Location: West Kootenays, British Columbia

Pay: Union Pay CA24.84−CA24.84−CA45.00 per hour + Excellent Benefits

Relocation Assistance: Up to 2 months accommodation for those relocating

Key Responsibilities

RN, RPN, LPN provides compassionate, high-quality care tailored to residents’ needs during the night shift.
RN, RPN, LPN administers medications and monitor patient responses accurately.
RN, RPN, LPN assists in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
RN, RPN, LPN supports residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
RN, RPN, LPN monitors vital signs and promptly report changes in patient conditions.
RN, RPN, LPN collaborates effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
RN, RPN, LPN maintains accurate, up-to-date medical records and conduct routine lab tests when required.
RN, RPN, LPN promotes a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for all residents.

Qualifications

Valid registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) – RN, RPN, or LPN.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, with 1 year in geriatric and patient care preferred. ***New Grads Welcome!
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Clean Criminal Record Check (CRC/VRC).
Familiarity with electronic health records systems is an asset.

Experience

Proven experience working in hospital settings with a focus on acute care environments.
Prior involvement in pain management programs and case management processes.
Experience with electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
Background in senior care, dementia care, or home health services is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and laboratory procedures like phlebotomy.
Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care across diverse populations including assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
Strong understanding of medical office procedures and medical terminology related to nursing practice.

New Grads welcome! Candidates should possess relevant nursing experience within hospital or long-term care settings. A valid nursing license (RN, RPN, or LPN) is required.
