About our Company:

Northern Divine Aquafarms Ltd. is one of Canada's first closed-containment, freshwater, recirculating aquaculture systems.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Admin to join our team as full-time (5 days a week). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the financial and administrative operations of the company with oversight.

Duties:

- Answer any phone calls that come through and facilitate communication with customers

- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks Desktop to maintain accurate financial records and invoicing for clients

- Perform account analysis and reconciliation tasks

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Entering bills, invoices and posting payments in a timely manner.

- At this time, payroll will be processed by a remote bookkeeper, however, this role will require ensuring hours are logged accurately by staff and correcting when necessary.

- Assist with financial reporting and budget preparation

- Support the preparation of tax returns

-Copy your Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables team members on emails

- Provide clerical and administrative support as needed

- Maintain an inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed

- Managing and maintaining record keeping systems

- Ordering of any supplies for operations and maintenance

- Assist with data entry and maintaining fish inventories

-Tasks may be adapted and/or changed as needed for Business Operations

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant or in a similar role

- Proficiency in accounting software in Quickbooks (at least 1 year)

- Live on Sunshine Coast (Sechelt, Robert's Creek, Halfmoon Bay, Gibsons, etc).

- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

- Experience with account analysis, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
