Full job description

Our clinic is currently looking for two full-time Dispensary Assistants/Opticians to join our team. We are open to training the right candidate, and a license is not required for this position.

This is a great opportunity for someone with optical or healthcare experience who enjoys patient interaction, frame styling, and educating patients on prescriptions and eye health in a supportive, team-focused environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our on-site Doctor and support patients throughout their optical experience. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, personable, and confident discussing prescriptions, lenses, and overall eye health.

Schedule

Full-time hours
Monday - Thursday 9:00 – 5:30
Friday’s 9:00 – 5:00

Compensation

$21-27/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

Assist patients with frame and lens selections
Educate patients on prescriptions and lens options
Support dispensary operations and patient flow
Take optical measurements and assist with fittings
Utilize clinic technology including Opti-Kam
Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care

Qualifications

Optical, optician, dispensary, or healthcare experience considered an asset
Understanding of prescriptions and eye health preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, professional, and team-oriented
