CNC Operator

Location: Victoria, BC
Job Type: Full-Time
Union Position: Yes
Wage: $40.50/hour + 12% vacation & benefits
Total Compensation: Approximately $45.36/hour

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable CNC Operator to join a unionized workforce in Victoria, BC.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional looking for competitive union wages, benefits, and steady local work.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently according to production requirements
Set up and operate CNC equipment, including loading materials and tooling
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic operating issues
Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Perform other CNC-related duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

Previous CNC operating experience required
Experience with CNC setup, tooling, and machine operation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and quality control
Ability to use precision measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be local to Victoria, BC, or the surrounding area
Must be available to work locally in Victoria

Compensation & Union Benefits

$40.50 per hour + 12% vacation and benefits

This is a union position, with wages, benefits, and working conditions governed by the applicable collective agreement.

Union membership is an asset. Candidates with relevant CNC experience are encouraged to apply.
