Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with meal preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, food safety, and teamwork, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
Support cooking activities by preparing basic menu items and following established recipes and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen workstations, including counters, sinks, and cooking areas.
Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety guidelines.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation policies to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies that need replenishing.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
Basic understanding of meal preparation and cooking techniques is a plus.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings or weekends if required.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as lifting and cleaning. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen setting while contributing to a welcoming dining atmosphere. Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
