Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional patient service.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar dental software
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
Collect payments and process billing transactions efficiently
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of medical information
Prepare treatment rooms and assist with administrative tasks as needed
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow throughout the day
Handle correspondence, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service

Skills

Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Tracker
Experience with medical or dental office administrative tasks and front desk operations
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
