Full job description

Must be local, No LMIA/Work permits

We are expanding and looking to bring on a skilled and reliable automotive technician to assist with mobile service calls throughout the Fraser Valley.

This position requires someone who can work independently in the field, perform advanced diagnostics, and complete complex mechanical repairs while maintaining communication with the owner throughout the job.

Work includes a wide range of mechanical and diagnostic tasks performed at customer locations.

Required Qualifications:

Red Seal Automotive Technician is considered an asset
Valid driver’s license (Class 5 with N minimum)
Strong experience with advanced diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
Proficient in using bi-directional scan tools and professional OBD2 diagnostic equipment
Experience with engine disassembly and rebuilds
Experience with manual and automatic transmission disassembly and rebuilds
Experience with differential teardown and rebuilds
Ability to accurately diagnose mechanical and electronic faults
A copy of your driver's abstract is required

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain clear communication during jobs to provide updates and confirm diagnostics when required
Track and submit timesheets for every job to document billable labour hours accurately
Maintain professional conduct when representing the business with customers
Work independently and efficiently on mobile service calls

Work Structure

Work is mobile and field-based, performing diagnostics and repairs at customer locations.

Typical work includes:

Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Engine repair and component replacement
Suspension and steering work
Brake systems
Electrical diagnostics
Drivetrain repairs
Pre-purchase inspections

Schedule

Work is available 7 days a week, pending workload and availability.

Time off is granted when requested, but is unpaid.

Pay Structure

Compensation is based on billable labour hours completed on jobs.

Per job payout
Bi-weekly payout

Pay will depend on experience, certifications, diagnostic ability, and efficiency. Additional Notes: This position requires someone reliable, accountable, and able to represent the business professionally while working independently in the field.

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
