Job Summary

Red-Seal Mandatory. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Crane Operator to join our construction team! In this vital role, you will operate various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment safely and efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure projects progress smoothly while maintaining the highest safety standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess mechanical knowledge, and have excellent communication skills, this is your opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and grow your career in the construction industry.

Duties

Operate cranes such as boom trucks, rigging cranes, and other heavy lifting equipment with precision and safety.
Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers, and other team members to plan lifts and ensure proper load handling.
Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane machinery to identify potential issues before use.
Use communication skills to relay signals or instructions clearly to team members during lifts.
Assist with rigging operations, ensuring loads are securely attached and balanced for safe lifting.
Maintain detailed logs of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.

Experience

Proven construction experience with hands-on crane operation in a busy work environment.
Valid certification for crane operation, including boom truck or rigging licenses preferred.
Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is a plus.
Multilingual abilities are advantageous for effective communication across diverse teams.
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to cranes and rigging equipment.
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
Customer service mindset to ensure positive interactions with project stakeholders.
