Full job description

Job Overview:

Direct-Way is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Flatbed Dispatcher / Planner (US-CAN) to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of flatbed operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple loads and drivers efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, assign, and dispatch flatbed loads to drivers efficiently
Coordinate pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time performance
Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers throughout the load lifecycle
Monitor driver compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
Optimize routes and maximize equipment utilization
Book loads and negotiate rates with brokers and customers
Track shipments and proactively resolve any delays or issues
Ensure proper load details, permits, and securement requirements are communicated
Maintain accurate records and update dispatch systems regularly
Handle cross-border shipments (Canada & USA) when required

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of verifiable experience in flatbed dispatching/planning.
Strong understanding of flatbed freight, load securement, and industry regulations
Knowledge of HOS rules and ELD systems
Experience with load boards such as DAT and Loadlink
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple drivers/loads
Strong communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with cross-border operations is an asset
Strong English and Punjabi Spoken
