The British Columbia Blueberry Industry Development Fund Council (BCBC) is an industry organization representing British Columbia’s blueberry sector, including growers, packers, first receivers, and other key stakeholders. The council works to strengthen the industry through industry engagement, business development, market diversification, stakeholder education, applied research, and variety development, while supporting the long-term growth and global competitiveness of BC blueberries.

Job Summary

The International Business Development & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating BCBC's international marketing activities, supporting internationally based marketing representatives, managing funding applications and reporting requirements, and providing oversight of marketing programs and vendor activities.

Working closely with the Executive Director, marketing vendors, and internal departments, this role ensures consistent messaging, effective use of funding resources, and successful promotion of BC blueberries in primary and emerging international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

International Marketing Coordination & Vendor Liaison

Global Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between the Executive Director and internationally based marketing representatives; align messaging, campaign priorities, and timelines across diverse time zones and regions.
Campaign & Brand Alignment: Monitor campaign calendars, digital marketing, trade shows, and promotional programs to ensure all activities align with BC Blueberry Council (BCBC) brand standards and strategic objectives.
Trade Missions & Events: Support international trade missions, promotional activities, market development initiatives, and annual general meeting (AGM) events.
Performance Review: Coordinate with marketing vendors and internal teams to monitor initiative performance and support continuous improvement.

Funding Identification & Administration

Grant Sourcing: Research and identify government, industry, and trade-association funding programs that support international marketing and market expansion.
Application & Claims Management: Prepare and submit comprehensive funding applications, progress reports, and reimbursement claims.
Compliance & Relationship Management: Monitor application deadlines, program compliance requirements, and funding schedules while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with funding agencies and program administrators.

Office & Contract Administration

Procurement & Inventory: Manage the procurement of office supplies and maintain inventory control to ensure smooth, uninterrupted day-to-day office operations.
Agreement & Contract Screening: Review and screen incoming vendor contracts, service agreements, and leases, ensuring terms are favorable, accurate, and ready for management review and signing.
Facility Coordination: Serve as the point of contact for office vendors, building management, and shared administrative resources.

Reporting, Budgeting & Analytics

Financial Tracking: Track all marketing and administrative expenditures against approved budgets and funding allocations to ensure maximum resource utilization.
Executive Reporting: Prepare polished monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing campaign performance, funding status, and program outcomes for the Executive Director, Board, and committee review.
Audit Readiness: Maintain meticulously organized records, receipts, and files to support financial audits and funding compliance reviews.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Internal Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Grower Relations, Finance, Research) to ensure all marketing content reflects accurate industry data and Council priorities.
External Engagement: Participate in meetings with international partners, industry stakeholders, and funding organizations to represent and promote the interests of BC blueberry growers.

Ad-Hoc & Special Projects

Administrative Adaptability: Perform other administrative, logistical, or financial duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support the evolving needs of the Council.
Special Projects Support: Assist with unexpected projects, emergency task forces, or community outreach initiatives as they arise.

Pay: $42,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
