Yoga and/or Pilates Instructor
At Sumas Mountain Wellness, we believe wellness isn't one-size-fits-all.
As a boutique wellness studio, our hope is to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to care for themselves in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable. Through movement, Registered Massage Therapy, life coaching, wellness walks, workshops, and community events, we strive to offer a more rounded approach to well-being, one rooted in connection, curiosity, and compassion.
We're currently looking to welcome a Yoga and/or Pilates Instructor to our team.
Whether you're seeking a regular class on our schedule or are interested in joining our substitute roster, we'd love to connect with instructors who value creating experiences that feel both supportive and accessible.
About the Role
You'll lead classes that invite participants to move, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. Our community includes individuals of varying ages, experience levels, and abilities, and we're looking for someone who can meet people where they are while helping them build confidence in their practice.
Above all, we want our students to leave feeling more grounded, capable, and connected than when they arrived.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging yoga and/or Pilates classes for individuals with a range of experience and abilities.
- Offer thoughtful modifications and variations to support participants in finding what feels best in their bodies.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging environment where people feel safe to explore movement without judgment.
- Create and guide intentional class experiences that align with the values and energy of our studio.
- Arrive prepared with class plans and assist with the setup and care of the studio space.
- Support the overall experience of our community through professionalism, warmth, and genuine connection.
- Collaborate with our team to promote upcoming offerings and contribute to the growth of our wellness community.
We're Looking for Someone Who...
- Holds a yoga and/or Pilates certification from a recognized training program (or has equivalent teaching experience).
- Has experience teaching group movement classes.
- Leads with empathy, authenticity, and inclusivity.
- Values connection just as much as cueing and sequencing.
- Feels comfortable adapting their teaching style to support varying needs and abilities.
- Brings reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
- Is passionate about helping others cultivate a positive relationship with movement and well-being.
