Commercial Renovation Lead Carpenter

The Tarcott Group is a well-established residential and commercial construction management company based in the Fraser Valley. We are actively seeking a Commercial Renovation Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. Our work is primarily located throughout Metro Vancouver (Burnaby, Vancouver, and Downtown Vancouver) and spans a wide range of commercial renovation and tenant improvement projects.

What We Do
Commercial maintenance and repairs
Tenant improvement and office renovation projects
Specialty contracting projects
Building envelope repair and restoration
Flashing and sealant repair and replacement
Waterproof coating installations
Structural and cosmetic rot repairs
Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites
Sub-trade coordination and site leadership
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5+ years of carpentry experience (commercial preferred)
Previous experience in a lead hand or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, standards, and best practices
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings
Hands-on experience with:
Framing, drywall, and finishing carpentry
Doors, windows, and hardware installation
Flooring, cabinetry, and millwork installation
Formwork, concrete, and demolition
Exterior envelope repairs, waterproofing, and flashing
Water damage and restoration
Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
Industrious and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions on-site
Clear communication skills with crew, subtrades, and management
Ability to work independently while keeping projects on track
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee day-to-day site operations on commercial renovation projects
Coordinate and work alongside crew members and subtrades
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
Read and execute work based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions to keep work progressing
Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks with a focus on quality and efficiency
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
